Grade 4 visited Abeno Taskul, a disaster preparedness center. The students learned how to prepare and  stay safe during different types of emergencies. Through hands-on simulations, the students practiced what to do during earthquakes in places such as elevators and kitchens. Our Nursery class recently took part in a joyful garden adventure, potato picking! We first invited parents to join us for a harvest day, but nature had other plans. The potatoes weren’t quite ready yet, which led to some thoughtful classroom conversations. Preschool students went to Maishima Cafe where they had an amazing opportunity to create a wheel-thrown ceramic plate. It was such a wonderful chance to see what else those tiny preschool hands can do.
