Saturday School
The programs are planned to begin on Saturday, October 24, 2026, subject to a minimum of 10 registrations for the new Saturday School activities to proceed. The fee is ¥5,500 per session, and lessons follow the Saturday School calendar. All session times are provisional.
To register, you can find the submission form below or email the school office by Saturday, October 10, 2026, with your child’s name, grade, and preferred program. Children who do not currently attend Saturday School are welcome. Program availability and final arrangements will be confirmed before the planned start date.
Saturday Basketball Club
Led by Mr. James Barbosa, our Saturday Basketball Club gives students the opportunity to develop their basketball skills, stay active, and build teamwork in an English-speaking environment. The club also aims to create more opportunities to play against other schools. Current AIS students, former students, and students from other schools are welcome.
Proposed sessions:
Middle School / MYP: 8:00–11:00 a.m.
Primary School / PYP: 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Saturday English Speech & Drama Studio
Led by Ms. Bel Belyea, this program helps children in Grades 1–5 build confidence, expand their vocabulary, and express their ideas in English through storytelling, drama, and creative projects. Younger students enjoy speaking games, puppets, and guided role-play, while older students explore scripts, short scenes, and prop and mask making. Each term concludes with a small showcase or open studio for families.
Proposed sessions:
Grades 1–2: 9:00–10:20 a.m.
Grades 3–5: 10:40 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Abroad International School is an educational institution that prides itself on teaching its students in an immersive environment. This is done by providing our students with opportunities that help children in their development of the whole child as an inquirer, both at school and beyond. Saturday School is an immersive English program for children ages 3 and up in which they can enjoy an international education. Organized bi-monthly, each month focuses on a concept from our IB PYP program which is educational, engaging and enlightening for children. Through the IB PYP Program we will develop students’ academic, creative, social and emotional wellbeing, focusing on international-mindedness and strong personal values. The PYP nurtures independent learning skills, encouraging every student to take responsibility for their learning.

Early Years Class
(3 - 5 years)
Our early years class is a play-based learning environment where children learn through play and discovery.
Primary Years Class
(Grade 1 and up)
Our primary years class is a class that uses differentiated approach to learning English. Children will be assessed and taught a differentiated lesson tailored to their English skill.
