G2 Field Trip to Osaka Museum of Ethnology

On January 17th, the Grade 2 class went on an exciting field trip to the Museum of Ethnology to expand our understanding of geography and cultures. In UoI, we are studying how different groups of people interact with their environment. Read below for one of our student’s experience!

“During my trip to a museum, first, I saw Oceania. I saw a big boat and watched a video of the boat. Next, I saw a giant old calendar from the Mayans. Then, I went to China and saw the dragons. I saw a house from China and went inside. Last, I saw what people wear in different countries. My favorite part of this trip was looking at the dragons.”

Students were able to see various tools and clothing that different cultures use in their daily lives. Students noted thoughtful similarities and differences across cultures and their own life in Japan.
