Government Subsidies
Abroad International School Osaka is certified under the “National Free Early Childhood Education and Childcare Program.” Parents may apply for subsidies under the following conditions.

This is an overview for the year 2026.
(National Program) Facility Usage Subsidy for Childcare
【Eligibility】
・2-year-olds from households exempt from resident tax who require childcare (e.g., dual-income families)
・3- to 5-year-olds from households requiring childcare (e.g., dual-income families)
【Subsidy Amount】
・2-year-olds: Up to ¥42,000 per month (¥504,000 annually)
・Children aged 3 to 5: Monthly maximum of ¥37,000 (annual maximum of ¥444,000)
Note: Families with stay-at-home parents using childcare or kindergarten after-school care are not eligible for the fee waiver.
Steps to Receive Benefits
① Obtain Certification of Childcare Need
Apply for certification at your local municipal office counter or online.
② Use an Eligible Facility
Pay the tuition fees to our school and use the services.
③ Claim the subsidy payment
Reimbursement will be made to the parent/guardian. Please submit your application following the instructions provided by your municipality.
For documents requiring completion by the facility (e.g., certificates of provision, receipts), please contact our school office; we will prepare them for you.
