IB World School for the PYP and MYP

Abroad International School Osaka is an officially authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme(MYP).

AIS Osaka is also a Candidate School* for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education that AIS Osaka believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Early Learning Centre

1 yr to 5 yrs old

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) is for children of ages one through five. We recognize all children are entitled to a best start in life and support to achieve their potential. A child’s experience has a vital impact on his/her future life chances, so we do our best to provide them with a safe, happy and secure learning environment.

Primary School

Grade 1 to 5

At Primary School, we aim to make children confident and independent learners. We provide diverse opportunities for students to demonstrate what they have learned. Learning at AIS is inquiry-based, where students are encouraged to identify pertinent questions and construct well-informed answers.

Middle School

Grade 6 to 10

The AIS Middle School Program aims to nurture internationally minded learners who show caring, respect, and compassion through their actions by providing a holistic education that allows students to develop their academic and social skills in an inquiry-based, collaborative environment.

High School

Grade 11 and 12

At Abroad International School Osaka, we are excited to announce that we are a candidate school for the prestigious IB Diploma Programme. As we continue our journey toward full authorization, we are diligently preparing to launch our high school programme in two years.
