Last Thursday, October 30, 2025, our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students went on an exciting Term 2 Field Trip connected to our Unit of Inquiry, “Where We Are in Place and Time.”
In this unit, Pre-K students have been learning about the differences between life in the past and modern times, while Kindergarten students have been exploring how life changes over time by telling and listening to stories. This field trip brought these lessons to life in a fun and meaningful way.
During their visit, students explored historical houses and discovered how and why they were built the way they were.
They learned about the materials and tools used long ago, and compared them with those used in homes today. Through careful observation and guided exploration, our young learners began to see how changes in housing reflect the evolving needs and lifestyles of people over time.
This hands-on experience helped students make real-world connections to their classroom learning, deepening their understanding of history and human innovation. It was a memorable day filled with curiosity, discovery, and excitement as our Pre-K and Kindergarten students truly stepped back in time!
After their exploration, the group headed to a nearby park, where everyone enjoyed a relaxing lunch and had fun playing together. It was the perfect way to end a day full of curiosity, learning, and laughter.
The field trip was fun, and our students went back in time and enjoyed being outside with friends.
