International Culture Festival Brings Our Community Together

ree

Last Saturday, our school grounds came alive with the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavours of cultures from around the world during our annual International Culture Festival. Families, students, and teachers gathered to celebrate the rich diversity of our community while enjoying a day filled with food, performances, and cultural activities.

One of the greatest highlights of the day was the incredible variety of international and local cuisine. Guests sampled dishes from across the globe alongside delicious treats from the neighbourhoods surrounding our school. From savoury favourites to sweet delights, there was something to satisfy every palate.

Students enjoyed a wide range of cultural games and activities, each thoughtfully prepared and run by teachers. These games were inspired by the cultures we showcased at this year’s festival, including Renaissance Italy, ancient Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, and even the global culture of soccer. We also featured a station dedicated to preserving the Earth, encouraging students to explore how sustainability is a shared responsibility across cultures.

The event stage was just as lively. Visitors were treated to spectacular Japanese performances from our local community, showcasing traditional arts deeply connected to our region. Our very own school dance club also delivered energetic and beautifully choreographed routines that had the audience cheering.

Thank you to all the families, teachers, students, and community members who contributed to making this festival such a memorable day. The International Culture Festival continues to be a wonderful reminder of the strength, joy, and unity that come from celebrating the many cultures that shape our school community.
