G2 Meiji Chocolate Factory Field Trip 2026

On March 5, 2026, the Grade 2 class had an exciting opportunity to visit the Meiji Chocolate Factory! This visit was a wonderful connection to our current theme of “How We Organize Ourselves” and our lessons on goods and services and physical changes.

 After a long bus ride, we were greeted by friendly staff at the factory with life-sized Meiji products. Read one of our G2 student’s reflection below! 

“(On March 5), I went to the chocolate factory. First, I saw how cacao comes to Osaka. Second, I went upstairs and saw how mushroom mountain chocolates are made. I saw physical changes, like breaking, melting, and cooling. Third, I voted which chocolate is better, ‘kinoko no yama’ or ‘takenoko no sato.’ In the chocolate factory, I felt so happy because I love chocolate so much!”
